Professional Counseling for Individuals, Couples and Parents

Help For Life, Marriage or
Family Stress

Nothing is more distressing in life than the times you feel your world is falling apart. Conflicts at home can be especially troubling, and nothing can tear you apart more than knowing you can’t get along with your husband or wife, or your growing children are cutting you out of their lives, or you’re now an adult, but your parents still manipulate and abuse you.

Many other family relationships may frustrate or depress you: a divorced spouse you must still parent with, teenagers who no longer listen, siblings who ridicule you, elderly parents who make demands but never thank you. These are common, but often very difficult, problems to deal with. And seeking help from a professional counselor may be the best thing you can do.

Sometimes counseling works best when you come by yourself; sometimes it is most effective when a couple comes together. At other times, the whole family needs to be involved before anything really improves. You are invited to make use of this professional resource. Especially when you feel overwhelmed or depressed. Because professional counseling is always available. And it is always a hopeful, positive first step, toward change.

Premarital Counseling Program Available

Most newlyweds have stresses that already trouble them. Premarital Counseling is an opportunity to look closely at your relationship and to learn exactly how to make your marriage successful. This established, short-term program works because it provides a new start, facilitates honest interaction, and incorporates an expert’s help.

Using the PREPARE Inventory developed by Dr. David Olsen, you will explore the results of a 15-page computer report to understand your relationship in detail. With Dr. Woo’s help, you will learn and develop the skills necessary for a lifelong marriage.

What Happens
in Counseling

Counseling is simply an opportunity to talk privately with a trained, highly experienced professional.

Dr. Woo will listen carefully, give you honest, serious feedback, and provide encouragement and a plan to resolve the problems you are facing. Sessions always focus on your priorities and needs. Dr. Woo works hard to understand you well and to provide a range of effective solutions.

Counseling sessions are always confidential, but state law requires counselors to report child or elder abuse and any clients who present an imminent danger to themselves or others.
